Snow Much Fun with CVC Words

Winter CVC BANG! Game

This adorable game can be used in many different ways. It is easy to prep and your students will be begging to play every day!

How to Play

Preparation for this game is quick and easy! All you need to do is print the cards on cardstock, laminate and cut. Find a cute seasonal storage container to keep the cards in (I use a snowman Christmas gift box).

The object of this game is to have the most cards at the end of the game.

The teacher will place the cards in the container. You can choose to use words with the same short vowel OR some words with each short vowel, depending on where your students are.

The first student will pick a word and read it. If they read it correctly, they keep the card. If they read it incorrectly, it goes back in the container. Pass the container to the next student and continue playing until there are no cards left. When a "Meltdown!" card is chosen, the player puts all of their cards back in the container.

It is easy to change this game to meet the needs of each of your small groups . . . simply switch out the words!
